Recently, the SABIC PKN MTBE Improvement Project, which is EPC contracted by CNCEC-TCC, has successfully commenced production and entered commercial operation one month ahead of schedule. This milestone marks the official completion of the world's largest single-train MTBE production base.

As the largest-scale SABIC own technology project under cooperation between CNCEC-TCC and SABIC, the core breakthrough of this plant lies in the integration of a new-generation isobutane dehydrogenation production process and a regeneration air compressor with the world's largest processing capacity. The project involves constructing a new isobutane dehydrogenation unit to replace PKN's existing unit, while synchronously implementing technological upgrades to the upstream and downstream n-butane isomerization unit, MTBE synthesis utilities, and auxiliary facilities. This technological upgrade will bring multiple benefits: utilize 10 MW electricity recovery by low-pressure steam, and the extension of the MTBE synthesis unit's continuous operation cycle from 8 months to 2 years, achieving significant breakthroughs in the fields of green chemical industry upgrading and low-carbon environmental protection practices.

作為天辰公司與沙特基礎(chǔ)工業(yè)公司（SABIC）合作的最大體量專有技術(shù)工程，項(xiàng)目新建異丁烷脫氫裝置以替換PKN現(xiàn)有裝置，同步對(duì)上下游正丁烷異構(gòu)化裝置、MTBE合成公用工程及輔助設(shè)施進(jìn)行技術(shù)升級(jí)。項(xiàng)目建成后，MTBE年產(chǎn)能將從70萬(wàn)噸提升至100萬(wàn)噸，躍居全球單體規(guī)模之首。該項(xiàng)目不僅提前4天完成機(jī)械竣工，更較計(jì)劃提前一個(gè)月完成投料并產(chǎn)出合格產(chǎn)品，充分彰顯出天辰公司卓越的履約能力與高效的執(zhí)行能力。
